One year ago today, I took a plunge into the blogging world. I lurked for well over a year, seldom commenting, before setting up my own shop. My first post can be seen here, where I was taking my own baby steps into the blogosphere.
I guess now at one year, I'm taking toddler steps.
I never imagined how much fun I would have with this blog. I've met so many cool people and I'm constantly amazed by the kindness that other bloggers show towards me and each other.
To celebrate this first year milestone, I am having a giveaway, prompted by a comment I received in December. I will be sending one of my market bags (similar to above) to one lucky commenter who posts between now and the end of January. I might even fill it with some extra handmade goodies.

Happy Bloggy birthday! I love dropping in on your blog. I have been taking a break from my blog - just haven't felt that inspired to write alot - but still read lots of people's and love commenting. That is one thing I like about blogging is you can give as much or as little as you like...

ok, I admit it ... I think it's sooooo very cool that bloggers GIVE gifts when celebrating their own anniversary ... says a lot about the community, don't you think?

I was just thinking the other day that I really need some pretty shopping bags, especially now that stores like Superstore (Loblaws) will bwgin charging 5 cents per plastic bag. I am amazed that you had the time to make something like this, and redecorate your daughter's room...al while studying!!
You are my hero, seriously. As a "retired" nurse, I still have nightmares that I forgot to take a crucial exam, and thus really didn't finish my nursing program after all! Scary...
