This is my dad circa 1972. I think this is such a cool picture of him, standing in front of his rig. I'm digging the side burns. He was 24 years old in this picture. I wonder what he was thinking?
This is my dad circa 2008 at 60 years old. Did he imagine he'd sit here with his sweet granddaughter on his knee?
We have a lot of work to do to repair a badly damaged relationship, but he came to visit for the first time in my married life in May. It's the first step to what I hope will be a more healthy relationship in the future. What can I say...he's my dad, and every girl needs their daddy once in a while.

Glad you're back. I've had to do some of that parental reconciling, too. It's hard to be the grownup in that relationship but sometimes necessary, especially so the kids can watch us work out hard situations in a kind and generous way. -- Michele
I'm so glad that you are making an effort to have a good relationship with your Daddy. Not enough people swallow their pride and make those hard first steps. I am so happy for you!
I really hope that you and your father can have a good relationship...I dont know what you have been through. I just hope that all can be well...
Thinking of you...

I wish you success on reconciling with your dad and hope that Lizzie develops her own relationship with him. This can be challenging for everyone! Good luck!
It will all work out, it's bound to. What a nice post.
I posted the list of links for the virtual wedding party. Can't wait to crash your wedding! I'll visit later in the day, after I'm done at the reno!!
