A nice cure for tears

Warning: I wrote the following post when I was very tired and it contains extreme sappiness. Beware, gag reflex may be engaged.

I'm not sure how many of you are still experiencing your college days or remember what it was like in those last frantic days at the end of term. I know at least one of you is experiencing it now from the other side. My experience thus far has been that when time crunches come in to play, stress levels reach an all time high, and tears generally result. This was the case on Sunday night. I felt so tired and disheartened by the amount of work left to do, that I got mad, and I also seem to cry when I get mad. So anyway, there I was crying away, so I decided to reward myself with some visits to my new friends in the blog world. My very first visit was to dear Amanda who gave me this award. She always brightens my day with her sweet remarks.

I admit, more tears flowed. It was a case of getting something at EXACTLY the right time. I've loved having this blog so much. It has encouraged me to break out my camera more often and write down my thoughts and experiences. And I'm so thankful for the "friends" I've made. It's hard to know who to pass this on to, but I think that MJ is highly deserving of this today (she's the one dealing with stressed out students!) and she was my very first commenter, who welcomed me so warmly to this wonderful world of blogging.

I tried explaining the world of blogging to my mother-in-law recently and had difficulty finding the right words. It's like this wonderful world-wide community of such genuinely kind women. Kind of like having a whole bunch of penpals. I've "met" people from many parts of the world, and I look forward to continuing these friendships for a long time.

Have a nice day, my friends.

Thanks for the sweet words and award! Awards always seem to come at the right time to support us just when we really need it!

I too remember the stresses of the final days of the term. Law school was the worst as I was writing exams worth 100% of my mark. They always seemed to be accompanied with other stresses as well (ie: death of grandfather, nosebleeds during exams, no electricity in the exam room and having to find a window to write the exam beside).

I am so glad those days are over and I'm on this side of the exam! Still, the stress remains to get exams marked and final marks submitted within 5 days of the final exam. Just different stresses!

Cute blog, and thanks for comments. I have indeed changed my blog again - I think it is better now? May need "tweaking" along the way. The link was GREAT - THOUSANDS of templates
Take Care

Your mother in law wanted to know how you can be sure your internet buddies aren't really 45-year old psychopaths trying to lure you into meeting them, didn't she? =)

It seems to me that only bloggers "get" blogging. Aren't we lucky?
