Sassy Apron Swap - Done

I didn't exactly forget about this swap, rather I didn't realize that I had so many deadlines in the same week! However, my apron is finished and it will be sent in the mail tomorrow to my swap partner (sorry in advance).

I've never made an apron before and instead of finding some nice and easy pattern I chose one with piping, binding, and different patterned fabrics. The theme was "Spring" and I had lots of great ideas on how I was going to represent this season. I will try to share some of my sketches another day. Anyway, I had wonderful ideas, but like so many of my ideas, they just require so much more of my time than I have.

I like the way this apron looks, but just don't look too close at the stitching. I messed up the binding, but I hope my swap partner is not too disappointed. I used two different Amy Butler prints. I absolutely lo-o-ove Amy Butler and would buy some of every pattern if I could. Maybe I'll make another apron for myself.

There are some very creative apron makers out there, such as those featured on Apron A Day, Apronista, and Tie One On. Lots of apron eye candy out there. I'm a little nervous about how my own creation will measure up.

I think you apron is very nice! I didn't realize the due date for the swap is coming up so soon either, read the fine print and realized that I must have a pocket, now I have to fix before I send!
