The only thing that is more neglected than this blog is the sorry looking patch of weeds in my back lane.
I know, I know, it looks like some carefree English garden, but it really is just my back alley. Thankfully, some of the pretty wildflowers by neighbour planted have migrated to my side of the alley adding a little colour to the mess.
In my defense, we've been away for a few weeks on a summer holidays down in the States. We went many places, but rest assured, coffee was always readily available.
In fact, I finally answered a call to the Mother Ship. The first Starbucks in the whole entire world!
But that wasn't the true focus of our trip. My darling Javier booked us two nights in a suite at the Inn at the Market. Sigh... My favourite moment of the entire trip was discovering that we had our own roof top terrace overlooking the market and the bay. Sigh...I LOVE Seattle.
I won't bore you with more family pictures, but some other highlights of the trip include Fourth of July fireworks and parade in Coeur d'alene, screaming our heads off at Silverwood and many stops at antique stores.
I didn't buy a lot of things on this trip, which is unusual for me. However, these chairs have been at the top of my wish list for a while. I'm toying around with spray painting them a different colour as I'm not a fan of dark green and the rug has to go as well, but I love them.
And these vintage wicker picnic baskets had to follow me home as well.
I hope you are all enjoying your summers so far and having many adventures too.
