Day 10

Signing up for Club Little House swap renewed my interest in all things dollhouse. Since I got the box in the mail a few weeks ago and started building my own dollhouse, its turned into a full-blown obsession. I literally spend hours on the internet drooling over dollhouse furniture and dollhouse blogs. This cannot be healthy for a grown woman, but I say it's for Lizzie, right? Of course, she has to fight me for the opportunity to help me work on the dollhouse (oops), so maybe it's more about me?

Here's a few of the items I've decided that I cannot live without.

Of course my dollhouse needs a sewing machine. Any self-respecting dollhouse resident would have be a crafter like me.

Everyone needs a tea kettle.

I love this loveseat, but at a price of $78.00 I think I have to take a pass. Sigh. Did I mention this obsession may become expensive?
This cuckoo clock is perfect for the cottage that is almost complete.

And then there are more dollhouse to build. I can't decide which one I like the best. The Westville.

or The Lily.

I'm sure Javier is thrilled with my newest interest. No surprise for him that I'm obsessed with something new.

My dollhouse is almost ready and I'll post pictures of it, and my Little House items then.

Ohhhh, the Lily. I've been looking for a dollhouse for K and N but haven't seen one that I'd like. I would want to control all of it including exterior and interior decoration! Perhaps its best I don't have one!

The Wesville (though I freely admit that I would paint it differently).

Hey OR, I saw this and thought of you, you crafty gal!
(you could make a fortune making these!)

Knit a Reusable Swiffer Cover

The Swiffer concept itself is good, but the associated accessories like the disposable dry or wet-mop covers are too expensive and wasteful. I’ve been stocking a supply of reusable covers by knitting some with inexpensive cotton yarn.

I like projects that have a practical application. See below for links to knitting patterns.

OOOOH! I like the pink house because it reminds me of Rachel Lynd's house on Anne of Green Gables! I could totally see myself addicted to this stuff!

Awwwwwww! I'm so going to do this with Dear Bebe when she gets older! How sweet is that? And, don't be mad at me, but I think I still have that cutie petutie little sewing machine. I used to have a shadow box (er...old printer's tray) filled with little things. My friend used to say "oooooooh they're shrunk in the dryer cute!"

I love the pink house but the outside design of the white one is nicer!

Hmmmm I would have to see the inside "floor plan" of those dollhouses... that's what it's all about, if you're into collecting the dollhouse furnishings and miniatures, you need to have adequate room in your dollhouse to place it!
