Day 1

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years' Eve. We had a quiet relaxing evening with one of Lizzie's friends.

There was fondue. Cheese & french bread followed by meat and vegetables in broth. MMMM...

After a couple of movies, we all had dessert...chocolate fondue with a "toblerone-ish" type chocolate, angel food cake, and fruit. Melamine tv trays worked extremely well to hold all the different types of foods.

At midnight, there was champagne for Javier and I, and cherry spritzers for the kids, as we rang in the new year and cracked some left over Christmas crackers.

Rain was puzzled why we were having so much fun when we were supposed to be in bed. Ollie just hid somewhere.

I hope everyone's holiday was wonderful. I know I'm looking forward to getting some normality back in our lives.

Sounds like a great time. Our dogs do the same thing when we break our routine. Happy New Year to your family.

I'm looking forward to some normal also. It's funny because when the break starts it seems like it will never be enough time but then it flies by and I want everyone to get back into routine and I want to get the house reorganized.
