Holy snowbanks, Batman!

I know we all wanted a white Christmas but this is getting ridiculous. Lizzie and I just spent close to an hour shoveling snow and we are tired.

Lizzie and her friends are working on building a sledding hill in our front yard. With all this snow, they just might be successful.

After 8 years of living in Alberta, I have finally broke down and bought some winter boots, I mean the kind that come above my ankle and are not purely for fashion! And I finally learned that feet CAN be warm in the winter!

Oliver has had enough and is demanding that we send him somewhere with less snow.

Want to know another way to annoy your cat? Throw him in the snow and watch how fast he can get back into the house. And laugh your head off.

Living here in Virginia, I have only seen that kind of snow a few times in my life. And one of those times was in Taos, New Mexico. I cannot fathom months and months of it.

Oliver can come and winter in Georgia with me. I spent two hours this afternoon planting pansies in the yard....

Before I read what you wrote, I saw the picture of Oliver and thought, woah, how'd you like to open a box and find that inside! He looks none too happy to be posing for a photo shoot.

Our snow is a memory now, and the residual cabin fever is finally wearing off, thank God.

You know, I just love it when you tell stories about being mean to your cat... does that make me a bad person? The snow is on its way here and should trap us in the house for New Year's.

Club Little House came today! We were thrilled to get one of your picnics! Absolutely thrilled, you have no idea.
